This engineering position is located at the base of Pikes Peak - America's Mountain in beautiful Colorado Springs which is also the home of the Olympic Training Center and U.S. Air Force Academy! You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and marketing teams world-wide through the development of Keysight's new test and measurement products until successful launch into a production environment. The NPI (New Product Introduction) team performs design validation, test creation, and performance analysis for all new products during development. Our NPI teams are multi-disciplinary, involving electrical, software, and mechanical engineers. As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer, you will apply your Software and Electrical Engineering skills to a variety of focused hands-on projects and have the opportunity to become a measurement expert yourself! You will be part of a product development team that collaborates closely with cross functional teams to design, develop, and test our Realtime Oscilloscopes, Quantum Computing Control Systems, and Probes and Accessories.


Responsibilities

There are a variety of Software / Test Engineering responsibilities you may own, including:

- Work with product designers to define and plan automated tests, measurements, and algorithms to be developed for the manufacturing test of new products

- Design and develop automated manufacturing tests to be implemented into the Production line

- Design and develop automated tests for hardware performance characterization

- Review and validate datasheet specifications to ensure alignment with manufacturing test limits

- Work with Production Engineers to transfer the automated tests, and architecture supporting those tests, to the Production line
- Provide technical documentation - test support documents, troubleshooting docs, training docs, etc.

Additionally, you may own Hardware / Electrical Engineering focused responsibilities including:

- Turn on and troubleshoot boards and systems for prototype builds and early production builds

- Identify test equipment, configure, design, and document test stations for production
- Ensure DFx by working closely with R&D team during all phases of the project, including Design for Test and product self-tests

- Create performance characterization test plans

- Characterize new products at various temperature and humidity levels to provide data for product design improvements, product specification setting, and to ensure product reliability
- Review, evaluate, and participate in setting production line specs based on statistical data analysis, correlate and get buy in from partners
- Support and implement the transition of products and manufacturing processes from prototype to full production and through the entire life cycle of the product
- Partner with procurement and technical support services to improve/sustain products and processes


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Major with and Electrical Engineering Minor OR CE/EE double major OR equivalent degree combination emphasizing Software Engineering with Electrical Engineering.
  • Fall 2024 planned graduation OR Spring 2025 planned graduation OR completed graduation within last 18 months.
  • Classroom or work experience with software development and source control software (e.g. Git)
  • Classroom or work experience with C#, C++, Python or other object-oriented software development
  • Classroom or work experience with Microsoft Visual Studios
  • Understanding of Statistical Analysis
  • Analog and Digital circuit analysis and design skills
  • Analog and Digital measurement techniques
    Classroom or work experience using electronic test equipment, specifically Oscilloscopes and Probes
  • Desire to collaborate with cross functional teams world-wide to achieve objectives
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Self-motivated and able to take direction on high-level objectives and create/execute project plans
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1 - 2 years of applicable intern or work experience
  • Manufacturing test development experience, specifically with TE.Net test platform, OpenTAP, and programming in C#
  • Experience in Git Bitbucket
  • Experience in OpenTAP
  • Experience in Microsoft Visual Studios
  • Experience with Agile / Scrum software development process
  • Experience in Atlassian Jira
  • Experience working in a Manufacturing environment

Colorado Pay Range: MIN $68,130 - MAX $113,540
