Description

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites by the Galleria, located in the upscale Galleria area is looking for an experienced hotel Business Travel Sales Manager. If you're ambitious, outgoing, enthusiastic, and have creative selling strategies submit your resume to apply!

Required Skills and Abilities:

-At least three (3) years of previous hotel Business travel Sales Manager experience required

-Delphi/Sales Force experience highly preferred

-Strong ability to multitask and perform required administrative duties

-Previous Hilton experience a plus

-Strong interpersonal skills to build client relationships, negotiate pricing, and for effective communication

-Able to sit, stand and walk at least eight (8) hours to conduct outside prospecting calls

Job Description:

-Produce business transient revenue through direct solicitation of business via aggressive prospecting, making presentations, developing contracts, negotiating and closing sales.

-Follow corporate transient market segments: National corporate accounts, local negotiated accounts, extended stay, and project business.

-Emphasize higher rated, less price sensitive business traveling on shoulder days of the week.

-Follow group segments during off RFP season: Government and entertainment.

-Handle annual RFP's and negotiations for national accounts both directly and through each brand's national sales processes.

-Engage with travel managers, national account representatives and business travel agencies to secure RFP's and drive room production.

-Conduct quarterly reviews with travel managers of the accounts to ensure accounts are on pace to meet targeted goals.

-Prepare weekly reports highlighting market trends, account development and new prospects.
