The HVAC Technician will estimate the materials, supplies, and equipment required for work assignments. Determining the means and methods to be used in accomplishing assigned tasks and securing appropriate materials, supplies, and equipment from stock and with proper approval of suppliers is also a job duty of the HVAC Technician. Another responsibility of the HVAC Technician is to install, maintain, repair, overhaul, and calibrate all types of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment including pumps, boilers, burners, temperature controls, thermostats, air conditioning and ventilating units, condensers, fans, evaporators, controls, related electrical apparatus and smoke and fire detecting and damping systems.

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Maryland Class C driver's license
• Four years of HVAC Apprenticeship program
• Maryland HVAC Journeymen License required. Ten years of equivalent training and experience in commercial or industrial HVAC systems may be substituted for Maryland License. Preference given to candidates with prior experience in hospital settings.

Shift: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Day Shift, On-call work required

Salary Range: Minimum 37.35 per hour - Maximum 37.35 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
