Pottery Decorating Associate

Position Summary:

Apply decorator stain/glaze applications to ceramic pieces efficiently and in compliance with Mackenzie Childs' high-quality specifications and standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

85% Apply decorator stain/glaze applications to ceramic pieces efficiently and in compliance with the Company's high-quality specifications and standards.

5% Move pieces to and from racks and workstations.

5% Scan tags/labor into computer system for labor costing and tracking purposes.

5% Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to use hand tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Attention to detail.

Special Requirements:

Location: Aurora, NY

Equipment Used:

Wax machine

Safety Equipment: Safety shoes, glasses, respirator and mask

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, crouch, kneel, bend, use fingers to grasp, handle, feel, and perform repetitive motions of hands or wrists.

• Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to move objects.

• Moderate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, machine operations, set-ups, inspections, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.

Environmental Conditions:

The worker is subject to paint glazes and stains.
