The Role:

As the Senior Director of Security for Providence Health & Services, you will be the cornerstone of security management across all regional locations, including hospitals, clinics, and satellite facilities. In a region rich with natural beauty and vibrant communities, you will lead innovative security strategies that uphold the highest standards of safety for our staff, patients, and visitors.

What You'll Do:

• Security Innovator: Develop cutting-edge security practices, standards, and policies tailored to our diverse service areas, including high-risk settings.
• Strategic Leader: Craft and execute comprehensive annual budgets and plans, chairing regional and division councils to integrate security measures seamlessly.
• Collaborative Consultant: Serve as the primary security advisor to Providence Health System Real Estate Strategy and Operations for system-wide assessments and incident management.
• Partnership Builder: Forge strong partnerships with law enforcement agencies to ensure coordinated crisis response and recovery plans.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee the daily operations and personnel activities of Security Services, maintaining a standardized and efficient approach.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business, Leadership, or related field, with a Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of job-related experience with in-depth expertise, with 8 years in leadership roles within multi-facility organizations and healthcare. 5 years in law enforcement is preferred
• Knowledge & Skills: Expertise in criminal law, security systems, human resources, project management, budgeting, and strategic management.
• Communication & Collaboration: Strong verbal and written skills for effective collaboration across the organization and with external partners.
• Decision-Making & Problem Solving: Proven ability to make sound judgments and solve problems creatively to advance organizational goals.
• Driving Compliance: Ability to meet state driving requirements with proof of license and insurance upon request.
