Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Copywriter / Content Strategist to join an in-house creative agency supporting corporate, R&D, and commercial functions within a leading global biopharmaceutical organization.

This role requires a creative professional who combines strong copywriting skills with strategic thinking and storytelling. The ideal candidate should be able to take a project from initial concept to final execution, identify content gaps, develop creative messaging, and turn complex information into engaging content.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional writing, copywriting, or content development experience.
  • Strong hands-on copywriting experience across multiple content formats.
  • Demonstrated experience in creative strategy, storytelling, and content development.
  • Ability to develop messaging, themes, taglines, and creative concepts rather than simply executing predefined writing requests.
  • Experience creating both short-form and long-form content.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating writing quality, versatility, creative thinking, and individual contributions.

What will stand out:

  • Advertising agency, creative agency, design firm, or in-house creative department experience.
  • Corporate or internal communications experience involving substantial hands-on writing.
  • Experience with employee engagement, corporate events, leadership communications, campaigns, and organizational initiatives.
  • Experience developing employee stories, patient stories, speeches, video scripts, and event messaging.
  • Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or other regulated-industry experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts, themes, taglines, and messaging strategies for corporate initiatives, campaigns, meetings, and events.
  • Write engaging employee stories, patient stories, leadership communications, award summaries, speeches, video scripts, and event content.
  • Develop both short-form and long-form content, including emails, presentations, speaker notes, campaign materials, and event communications.
  • Interview employees, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to gather information and develop compelling stories.
  • Translate business objectives and initial project requests into strategic content recommendations and creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, and Account Teams to develop and execute creative materials.
  • Maintain consistent messaging across pre-event, event, and post-event communications.
  • Manage multiple creative projects independently, balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Present creative concepts and explain content strategy and writing decisions to stakeholders.
  • Use AI-assisted writing tools where appropriate while maintaining human oversight, originality, and accuracy.

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant professional experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in place of a degree.
