Overview
Duration: 3 months -- could extend Aquent Studios is proud to partner with a leading global client in the transformative Life Sciences industry, an organization dedicated to pioneering breakthroughs that enhance global health. This company stands at the forefront of innovation, translating complex scientific discoveries into life-changing solutions that reach diverse audiences worldwide. Joining this team means contributing to a mission-driven environment where every visual story has the power to educate, inspire, and make a tangible impact on the world, directly influencing how groundbreaking solutions are experienced by global audiences. Are you an exceptional Interaction Designer ready to transform complex workflows into seamless, elegant digital experiences on a global scale? This is your opportunity to define how users engage with next-generation digital products, bridging the gap between high-level user experience strategy and concrete digital interfaces. You will dive deep into system architecture, screen states, micro-interactions, and high-fidelity prototyping, making a tangible impact on health solutions that touch lives worldwide. What You'll Do
- Map end-to-end user journeys, task flows, detailed wireframes, and interaction models to solve complex product challenges.
- Build robust, realistic interactive prototypes using advanced Figma features (components, interactive variants, variables, auto-layout, and expressions) to evaluate usability and communicate functional logic.
- Define comprehensive interface behaviors, edge cases, transitions, error handling, and component state changes (hover, active, disabled, loading) to ensure intuitive experiences across platforms.
- Partner closely with visual designers and front-end engineers to contribute interactive component specifications, guidelines, and behavioral patterns to the shared design system.
- Collaborate with user researchers to conduct usability sessions on interactive Figma prototypes, translating evaluative findings into actionable iterative refinements.
- Document interaction specifications, transition curves, and component behaviors clearly for engineers to ensure pixel-perfect and motion-accurate implementation.
- Articulate interaction rationale, user-centric behavioral models, and design trade-offs across multidisciplinary product teams, fostering strong stakeholder alignment.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2+ years of dedicated experience as an Interaction Designer, Product Designer, or UX Designer specializing in digital product interfaces.
- Advanced mastery of Figma as your primary tool, including deep experience with component architecture, auto-layout, interactive components, tokens, and variables.
- A strong design portfolio highlighting end-to-end interaction design problem-solving, detailed user flows, system thinking, and dynamic interactive Figma prototypes.
- Strong grasp of human-computer interaction (HCI) fundamentals, cognitive load management, mental models, standard web/mobile interaction patterns, and responsive layout behavior.
- Proven background working within cross-functional, iterative agile product teams alongside product managers and software engineers.
- Clear verbal and visual presentation skills to convey interaction mechanics and justify design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of front-end capabilities and constraints (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to optimize collaboration and feasibility with development teams.
- Deep familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), keyboard navigation patterns, and inclusive design practices.
- Prior background designing for enterprise software, workflow tools, or creative professional suites.
- Hands-on experience moderating prototype usability sessions or analyzing interaction heatmaps and behavioral analytics.
