Now Hiring: Research Engineer - 5G/6G Wireless Communications Location: Mountain View, CA Pay Rate: $112-$120/hour, based on experience About the Role Help shape the future of connected mobility through advanced 5G/6G wireless research and global telecommunications standardization. You'll contribute to 3GPP standards, explore Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), and lead research initiatives supporting next-generation wireless technologies. Responsibilities Develop technical contributions for 3GPP RAN1, RAN2, and related standards. Conduct 5G/6G wireless communications and ISAC research. Lead research projects with internal and external partners. Participate in international standardization meetings. Develop patents, invention disclosures, and research publications. Qualifications PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. R&D experience in wireless communications and ideally ISAC. Experience contributing to 3GPP RAN1 as a delegate or through back-office support. Strong 5G NR patent portfolio and Layer 1/Layer 2 expertise. Knowledge of 4G LTE, 5G NR, and 3GPP standardization. Strong communication skills and willingness to travel internationally. Compensation & Benefits $112/hour for recent PhD graduates. Up to $120/hour for candidates with additional relevant experience.
