Job Purpose

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

• Receiving shipments and signing paperwork upon receipt
• Unloading packages from incoming trucks
• Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
• Verify packages according to order invoices(quantity, quality, etc.)
• Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
• Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stands, walks, and bends for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs., and stand for a regular 8-hour work shift.

Education and Experience

• Excellent communication skills-must be able to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, and comfortably read/understand instructions.
• Strong reliability and a history of good attendance.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Shipping experience preferred
