The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking applications for a full-time Director of Clinical Operations. This position is responsible for oversight and management of the clinical operations of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. This includes the clinic's administrative operations, clinic budget management, regulatory compliance, equipment and capital procurement, development of patient communications, outreach, staff management, scheduling and marketing. The Director will develop all appropriate guidelines, policies and procedures related to patient care, research, educational programs, clinical compliance while ensuring all clinical operations and program support the Department and the College of Dentistry's mission. Minimum Qualifications Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred); preferably in an oral health profession or related field. Minimum of five years experience in progressive clinical administrative responsibilities in an oral health or healthcare organization. Knowledge and experience in an electronic health record or dental health electronic record required. Experience in EPIC highly preferred. An oral health professional degree and/or licensure in a dental related field preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success leading clinical support teams in a fast-paced patient care environment. Preferred qualifications include experience with business process improvement; knowledge of dental and oral and maxillofacial procedures; and experience working in an oral and maxillofacial practice and/or an academic oral healthcare setting. Candidates with expertise in budget management and financial systems, claim and billing methodologies, systems requirements development, and enterprise-wide application implementation are strongly preferred. Additional preferred experience includes risk management, regulatory compliance, and adherence to healthcare standards. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational and time-management abilities, attention to detail, professionalism, adaptability, diplomacy, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
