Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Wound Care

Inova Mount Vernon Hospital - Wound Care is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team. This role will be full time days position with 9-hour days; 4 days a week.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Reviews diagnostic test results and reports abnormal results and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse, physician and appropriate healthcare team members in a timely manner.
• Collaborates with the Registered Nurse on the execution of patient plans.
• Assists with patient education and discharge planning under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Evaluates and maintains the patient care environment to promote safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Vocational / Technical Diploma in Practical Nursing
• License: Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Experience: 0 years of experience
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience as an LPN or Medical Assistant
