Essential Job Duties
The Department of Information Technology, Analytics, and Operations in the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. We seek collaborative and innovative scholars specializing in Operations and Supply Chain Management who demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in research, teaching, and service.

Position Responsibilities


  • Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in Operations and Supply Chain Management at both the undergraduate and graduate (including MBA) levels, in online and in-person formats. Courses may include topics such as operations management, purchasing and supply management, logistics management, operations modeling and analysis, or supply chain management.

  • Research: Develop and maintain a productive research program that leads to publications in top-tier peer-reviewed journals.

  • Service: Contribute to the academic mission of the department, college, and university through committee work, curriculum development, and professional engagement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department head. Candidates must be a contributing faculty member to department and college service activities.

Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates must currently hold a Ph.D., or have completed the requirements for the degree by August 16, 2027, in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Other Required Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate research and teaching capabilities consistent with a Research 1 university, showing strong potential at the assistant professor level or an established record at the associate professor level, with the ability to teach effectively at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in research or projects.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary research collaborations or industry partnerships.
  • Proven track record of securing competitive research grants and funding.
