We are currently seeking a Class Desk Analyst, Junior to support our customer at the Patuxent River, MD Program Office.

Functional Description: Applies analytic techniques in the evaluation of program/project objectives. Performs technical management, analyzes requirements, develops project work scope, or business case analyses. Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to aircraft project acquisition and product programs. Tracks program/project status and schedules. Applies government-instituted processes for acquisition documentation, configuration management, data management, risk management, and requirements management.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:



  • Provide timely, technically sound engineering support to the Class Desk and APMSE
  • Assist Class Desk in development and management of technical requirements for various systems.
  • Assist Class Desk in ensuring appropriate technical area representation is in place to support various E-2 related projects.
  • Assist Class Desk in management of assigned tasks in the program master schedule.
  • Assist the Class Desk in coordinating engineering development, requirement adherence, and issue resolution within the Engineering team.
  • Assist Class Desk with development of program acquisition and technical documents and briefing material.
  • Participate in Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and design reviews.
  • Assist Class Desk in the preparation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other acquisition documents such as Statements of Work (SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), etc.
  • Support the Class Desk with identification, analysis, and mitigation of program and systems safety risks in alignment with PMA-231 program risk management and NAVAIR system safety processes.
  • Support Class Desk in development and coordination of airworthiness requirements, documentation, as well as the identification of necessary data products for interim flight clearances.



Required Education:



  • Engineering Degree from a Four (4) year college or university


Allowable substitution:

Associate's Degree plus two (2) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

OR

Four (4) years additional work experience performing duties described in the functional description of the labor category may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.

Required Experience:



  • Junior - less than Three (3) years' experience performing duties described in the functional description.


Desired Experience:



  • Prior experience supporting NAVAIR Programs.
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering processes and concepts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate across a team of diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.



Must hold and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

This position requires in person support.

Compensation at Precise Systems is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, competencies, and contract-specific requirements. The salary range for this position is $44,819.01 to NTE $75,000 (annualized USD). This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of Precise Systems' total compensation package.
