Your Job

We are seeking a Senior Recruiter to support Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, in Katy, Texas. In this role, you will do more than fill requisitions. You will help the business define talent needs, shape workforce and hiring strategies, and attract and select people who can contribute to OPD's long-term success.

You will apply Principle Based Hiring and judgment to assess candidates' alignment with Our Values, contribution motivation, capabilities, and potential. As a senior recruiting partner, you will use business knowledge, market insight, data, and informed challenge to influence better hiring outcomes while creating a brand-worthy candidate and stakeholder experience.

Our Team

Koch Recruiting partners with business leaders, hiring supervisors, Business HR, and interview teams to attract, select, and hire talent that advances business objectives. We seek to understand the businesses we support, apply Principle Based Management in our work, and continuously improve how we create value through recruiting. Our team shares knowledge, uses technology thoughtfully, and builds recruiting and interviewing capability across the organization.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and drive end-to-end recruiting strategies aligned with OPD's business, workforce needs, talent market, and critical capabilities.
  • Partner with hiring supervisors, Business HR, leaders, and interview teams to align on talent needs, define success, and support consistent Principle Based Hiring practices.
  • Assess candidates using human judgment and develop clear points of view on Our Values, contribution motivation, capabilities, and role alignment.
  • Independently lead complex or high-priority searches, balancing business priorities, market constraints, risk, and candidate experience.
  • Create and execute sourcing strategies using market insight, data, technology, knowledge resources, and professional networks to engage internal and external talent.
  • Build talent pipelines through community outreach, employer branding, and grassroots relationship-building, partnering with the right capabilities to advance recruiting strategies.
  • Use business context, talent-market insights, and recruiting data to surface trade-offs and influence effective long-term hiring decisions.
  • Create a brand-worthy, inclusive, and transparent candidate experience while maintaining accurate recruiting data and visibility.
  • Apply sound judgment to recruiting risk, legal requirements, compliance, and HR policies while adapting priorities as business needs and technology evolve.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Recruiting experience in a corporate or agency environment, including independently managing full-cycle and complex searches.
  • Experience recruiting engineering, construction, skilled trades, project execution, or other technical talent relevant to an EPC environment.
  • Experience translating business needs into recruiting strategies and influencing hiring decisions through market insight, data, and informed challenge.
  • Experience sourcing passive talent through multiple channels and developing clear candidate assessments based on capabilities, motivation, values alignment, and role fit.
  • Experience building trusted partnerships with hiring leaders, Business HR, and interview teams while navigating competing priorities and changing needs with limited direction.
  • Proficiency with ATS or CRM systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting analytics or market-insight tools.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience recruiting in engineering, procurement, construction, energy, industrial services, or oil and gas, with established Houston-area talent networks.
  • Experience influencing workforce planning, talent strategy, succession, or pipeline discussions beyond individual requisitions.
  • Demonstrated success coaching hiring teams or peers and improving interviewing, assessment, sourcing, or recruiting practices.
  • Experience using data and technology to lead recruiting improvements that strengthened decisions, efficiency, or stakeholder visibility.
