Make it happen at Hopkins As a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a 266-bed acute care facility that has been serving the community for nearly 40 years. We can offer the most advanced, innovative technology with the collaboration and teamwork typically found in a community hospital. What You Will Do: The Shift Director is accountable to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital during his/her shift, and to facilitate problem resolution throughout the hospital. The Shift Director assumes responsibility and is accountable for the overall operation of all the units in the absence of the Unit Manager/Director on evening, night, weekends and holidays. The Shift Director provides clinical expertise and oversees management activities during his/her shift in consultation with the Unit Manager/Director for that unit, when appropriate.Ensures a safe, healthful and pleasant environment for patients via appropriate staffing, resolution of problems inter-departmentally and intra-departmentally in a collaborative manner and may be required to communicate with external contacts to gather factual data. Salary Range: Minimum $70.31/hour - Maximum $70.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
