POSITION OVERVIEW
The Assistant Site Supervisor supports the Site Supervisor in overseeing site operations and construction activities. The role coordinates contractors, schedules, safety compliance, resident and campus communications, project progress, warranty items, and site-related issues to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Acts as the primary point of contact for vendors and contractors working on-site for patio home additions and coordinates schedules, deliveries, and work activities to ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Coordinates, with contractors to schedule equipment, materials, and manpower required for construction activities.
- Ensures that resources are allocated efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Prioritizes contractor work activities and recommends adjustments to project schedules to address operational needs.
- Reviews contractor and vendor performance and progress of work; recommends corrective actions where needed.
- Monitors contractor staffing, equipment, and material availability; identifies potential resource constraints and recommends solutions to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
- Conducts regular inspections and quality checks of work performed by vendors and contractors to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Monitors safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all on-site personnel, including vendors and contractors.
- Leads safety briefings, conducts inspections, coordinates incident reporting, and suggestion corrective measures to ensure OSHA compliance and mitigate risk.
- Evaluates project status against established plans to identify potential delays, risks, or scheduling conflicts.
- Provides regular updates to project managers and campus leadership regarding work status, potential delays, and project issues.
- Oversees ongoing construction activities, develops preliminary punch lists for contractors as needed, and evaluates contractor means and methods for appropriateness and compliance with project needs.
- Coordinates delivery receipt activities/documentation and facilitates communication between vendors and contractors regarding material availability, damages, and discrepancies.
- Collaborates closely with the project team to adhere to budgetary constraints and identify cost-saving opportunities where possible.
- Performs limited minor corrective work on an incidental basis, including drywall and paint touch-ups, coordination of owner-supplied appliances, and securing the jobsite at the end of the workday, using tools and equipment supplied by Trilogy Builders Group.
