Position Title: Embroidery Machine Operator

Wage: $23.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday + some OT on weekends as well as needed

Embroidery Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Digitizing & Design Preparation

- Convert customer artwork, logos, and designs into embroidery-ready stitch files using digitizing software

- Select appropriate stitch types, densities, and settings based on garment type, fabric, and design requirements

- Organize and prioritize orders according to production schedules

- Batch, sequence, and upload embroidery files to machines for production runs

- Review artwork for quality and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal stitch results

Garment Preparation & Hooping

- Prepare garments and materials for embroidery production

- Properly hoop garments and fabrics to ensure accurate alignment and design placement

- Select and apply appropriate stabilizers, backing materials, and supplies based on fabric type and design complexity

- Inspect materials prior to production to identify defects or concerns

Embroidery Machine Operation

- Set up and operate single-head and/or multi-head embroidery machines

- Load designs, configure machine settings, and monitor production runs

- Maintain thread supply, replace bobbins, and manage color changes as needed

- Inspect finished embroidery for quality, consistency, and accuracy

- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high workmanship standards

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and needle replacement

- Troubleshoot thread breaks, tension issues, registration concerns, and other common machine problems

- Make minor machine adjustments and repairs to minimize downtime

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Production Coordination

- Manage workflow and production schedules to ensure timely completion of customer orders

- Communicate effectively with team members regarding order priorities, deadlines, and production needs

- Assist with inventory monitoring of embroidery supplies, threads, stabilizers, and related materials

Embroidery Machine Operator Requirements:

- Previous experience operating embroidery machines in a production environment is required

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work is required

- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and solve problems independently

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple projects

- Basic computer proficiency and experience working with digital files is required

- Experience with embroidery digitizing software is required

- Preferred knowledge of stitch types, thread weights, embroidery techniques, and stabilizer selection

- Preferred experience operating multi-head embroidery machines

- Preferred understanding of garment decoration and customization processes

- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the workday

- Frequent use of hands for garment preparation, machine operation, and detailed work

- Ability to lift and move materials up to 30 pounds

- Ability to distinguish colors and identify embroidery quality issues

- Comfortable working in a production environment with mechanical equipment
