Job Summary

The Executive Assistant to the President will provide leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organization, and manages a variety of special projects for the President, some of which may have organizational impact.

Complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that facilitate the President's ability to effectively lead the organization, including: Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. Provide executive administrative management to the Office of the President in the areas of office organization, communications, and event management. Manage activities to ensure a well-executed, highly complex schedule of daily activities.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Manage the daily activities of the President including his/her board related activities, calendar and advise and prepare the President as appropriate regarding upcoming appointments, meetings, travel, events, etc.

Job Duty 2 -
Serve as primary scheduling contact with the campus and external community on the behalf of the President.

Job Duty 3 -
Compile information and other documentation required by the President; complete, submit travel
authority requests and oversee the preparation of reimbursement statement.

Job Duty 4 -
Serve as point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the President, including grievances and highly confidential or critical matters. Prioritize and determine appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect President's style and organization policy.

Job Duty 5 -
Compile information and other documentation required by the President; complete, submit travel authority requests, and oversee the preparation of reimbursement statement.

Job Duty 6 -
Manages/leads biweekly calendar review with Executive Leadership's assigned Executive Assistants

Job Duty 7 -
Provides administrative support for the President's spouse/partner including scheduling, domestic/international travel and related related expense reimbursements.

Job Duty 8 -
Provides oversight to President's involvement in mentor programs and consulting duties.

Job Duty 9 -
Serve as backup to Dir-Presidential Operations as well as Admin Professional to include but not limited to: Student Assistant training and reception coverage.

Job Duty 10 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree, or two years college course work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Five to seven years of job-related experience

Preferred skills include administrative experience of increasing variety and/or complexity, excellent customer service skills with proven knowledge of how to work effectively and professionally with all levels of internal and external customers, proven ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines, strong attention to detail with decision-making skills to respond to high-pressure situations, ability to establish effective working relationships to successfully accomplish objectives, expert in working independently and in a team environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of a foreign language desired, ability and temperament to work with sensitive information, strong proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, ability to learn and apply new software skills, and international travel a plus.

Bachelor's Degree

Ability to take initiative and to work collaboratively and independently with minimal direct supervision;

Critical thinking skills to make last-minute decisions and to develop methods and strategies for completing tasks and projects;

Conflict management and problem resolution skills;

Familiarity with University System of Georgia, Georgia Tech, local, state, and international processes, policies and protocol.

Proposed Salary

Proposed Salary:$74,966 to $100,000. Commensurate with education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Skills
This job requires advanced knowledge and skills in executive office administration. Included are skills in organization, customer service and communications as is the use of office related and specialized computer applications.
