Primary Purpose:

The HRIS Support Specialist's primary responsibilities include entering employee changes in HRIS, ensuring data in the system is accurate and up to date and serving as a point of contact for the Human Resources Information System for employees and management within Towne.

The good-faith compensation range for this role is expected to be $55,000-$65,000, based on the role, market, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Provides support for all lines of business by assisting with troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and solve problems within HRIS. This includes, but is not limited to corrections to employee data, report requests, login issues and access to timecards.
  • Works with managers and lines of business to enter employment-related changes (including but not limited to transfers, promotions, pay increases and terminations) to employee profile in HRIS and approves entries made by others, as needed; notifies other departments and process-owners, as needed
  • Maintains approval requirements as it relates to employment related changes for various divisions
  • Maintains high level of accuracy and data integrity
  • Assists with creating and maintaining HRIS functional documentation, standard operating procedures, as well as a documentation library of procedures and available reports for users
  • Assists with training on HRIS, its related processes within the organization and any new functionality if implemented
  • Provides process improvement recommendations based on company/user needs
  • Assists managers and upper-level management with salary requests and job/salary history information as needed
  • Creates various ad-hoc reports to meet the needs of various departments and lines of business within the Towne enterprise
  • Attends regular training opportunities and user conferences to stay abreast of changes within the system
  • Handles other duties and special projects as assigned



Minimum Required Skills & Competencies:



  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • High attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to maintain large amounts of data such as facts, figures and numbers
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to troubleshoot and research in order to solve problems
  • Ability to collaborate and interact with different individuals from all organization levels
  • Ability to adapt to changing pace and environment and ever-changing priorities
  • Ability to prioritize requests and manage time accordingly
  • Exercises sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with both employees and management at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills



Desired Skills & Competencies:



  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, information management, project management or related field
  • Human resources, system analysis, project management, and/or process improvement experience
  • Certification in Human Resources, IT, or Project Management
  • Knowledge of human resources and payroll processes
  • Ability to develop measures and report on key performance indicators
  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro HR system, or similar HR system



Physical Requirements:



  • Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
  • Exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
  • Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
