Principal Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Directly responsible for the condition, operational readiness and safety/security of the building and grounds at all times.
  2. Actively supervises Building Services staff in daily operations to assure productivity, proper quality, and cost effectiveness. Manages program and staff requests, ensuring team is deployed as needed. Hires, trains, develops, and conducts effective performance appraisals for staff.
  3. Manages the HVAC and work order systems and maintains reporting while ensuring data accuracy. Responsible for the selection, installation and operation of computer systems to support facilities management activities. Provides metric reports.
  4. Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the comprehensive safety programs for the Center which include OSHA and EPA regulations, fire prevention, and risk management. Acts as the Safety Officer for the Colorado campus.
  5. Works with the Group Manager to negotiate and direct the work of outside contractors as their work pertains to the operation, security and maintenance of the facility.
  6. Responsible for overall environmental management functions, including establishment of standards, inspection reports, and required record keeping.
  7. Assists with the development and maintenance of the Business Continuity Plan and serves as BCP Team member and participates in the activation of the plan in COS.
  8. Provides 24/7 maintenance availability as may be required to meet the needs of clients and employees.
  9. Works with the Group Manager to prepare and monitor operational and capital budgets for Building Services. Prepares reports as needed.
  10. Attends all FMG management team meetings.
  11. Displays the willingness and skills to confront and resolve problems and conflict situations.


Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required



  1. Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent education/training and 10+ years related work experience required.
  2. Minimum of three years supervisory experience, preferably in a team environment.
  3. Electrical Contractor's license or 5+ years related work experience.
  4. Extensive experience and training in all phases of maintenance: electrical, mechanical, steam fitting, boiler tending, electronics, refrigeration, HVAC/BAS, and other equipment. Licensed in one or more areas.
  5. Experience in contract negotiations including a variety of products and services.
  6. Proven project management, communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with varying needs and levels of understanding.
  7. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
  8. Ability to solve problems and make decisions with limited guidance. Good time management skills.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office applications and facility management software preferred.
  10. Must understand and emulate the highest degree of customer service and quality.


Pay and Benefits



  • The hiring range for this role is 75,000 to 80,000 annually. Offer will be commensurate with relevant qualifications and professional experience
