Position Summary:



The Project & Materials Coordinator is a critical operational role responsible for overseeing project coordination, procurement support, material control, logistics, and equipment management activities. This position leads administrative and logistical support for customer contracts, including scheduling deliveries, managing documentation packages, and serving as a key point of contact for customer communications. The role also manages measurement and test equipment (M&TE) programs, performs quality and technical reviews of purchase orders, coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, maintains inventory control, and supports production activities through accurate material issuance and tracking. Additionally, the position serves as the designated forklift and crane trainer, coordinates facility and shop supplies, and works closely with vendors to ensure preventive maintenance of company equipment and assets. The ideal candidate brings experience in procurement, receiving, material control, and industrial equipment operations, with knowledge of customer contract requirements and compliance obligations preferred.


Job Description:



Essential Job Functions:



  • Lead project managements for the MgO Contract, including scheduling truck deliveries to the WIPP site, managing data packages, and coordinating customer communications.
  • M&TE Coordinator, responsible for generating purchase requisitions for calibration, maintaining the M&TE database, and controlling all M&TE.
  • Performing technical and quality reviews of all purchase orders before they are issued to vendors.
  • Coordinating all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Receiving, identifying, and controlling all materials and parts for EPD.
  • Issuing material and parts to the shop floor (via traveler).
  • Serving as the Forklift and Crane Trainer for EPD.
  • Coordinating all shop floor supplies.
  • Working with vendors to coordinate preventive maintenance for the shop air compressor, forklifts, skid steer, man lifts, and other equipment.
  • All other duties as required


Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education
  • Manufacturing experience
  • 2 years' experience with procurement, material control and receiving activities.
  • 4 years' experience with running cranes and forklifts.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2 years' experience working with Customer contracts and understanding the compliance requirements.
