Job description:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to the below. Other duties may be assigned.

  • New Hire Orientations Responsible for managing all Day One and New Hire Paperwork (I-9 verification, insurance enrollment, Employment and Confidentiality Agreements, etc.)
  • Creates Job Descriptions
  • Responsible for job sourcing
  • Backs up Recruiter in conducting phone interviews and interview scheduling
  • Responsible for report-outs of recruiting data: Turnover
  • Assists in intercompany transfers/relocations

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Responsible for full cycle performance review process, including associated annual increases
  • Manages Skill Level Testing and associated increases for Production Teams
  • Owner of Annual Open Enrollment Takes part in annual benefit options and negotiations

Create and distribute Annual Benefit Letter, Summary Plan Descriptions, and Benefit Guide
Communicate and distribute benefit updates to employees

  • Acts as a liaison between employees and benefit providers/insurance brokers
  • Manages Qualifying Life Events
  • Monitor leaves of absences, including FMLA, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability
  • Member of the Wellness Committee

Safety:

  • Member of the Safety Committee Works directly with the VP of Operations on administrative role in Safety Committee

Share best practices, Near Miss opportunities, OSHA recordable incidents with company
Responsible for documentation of OSHA recordable incidents
Manages Safety Shoe program and invoices
Organizes safety and health screenings (i.e., audiometric exams) as needed

Performance Management:

  • Guides Performance Management process with managers, starting with verbal counseling through termination
  • Creates Performance Improvement Plans and schedules follow ups and next steps with managers
  • Provides feedback and coaching to front line managers regarding policy compliance and accountability

Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Integration Team
  • Provide newly acquired employees with all materials to transition to MIR
  • Serve as point of contact for newly acquired employees for all HR related questions
  • Travel to new locations as part of Integration Team to integrate transitioning team members to MIR

Maintain Professionalism

Project a professional and courteous demeanor when communicating with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and vendors.

Technology Skills: Position requires ability to understand and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Experience with an ERP is highly preferred.

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in related field (Human Resources) required, Master's degree or PHR certification preferred. A minimum of three years' experience in a Human Resources field (recruiting, compensation, benefits, training and development).

Requirements: Valid driver's license required. Position requires travel for branch needs.
