What the Day Will Look Like Lead Risk & Capital Modeling Engagements
  • Design, build, enhance, validate, and interpret stochastic risk and capital models for P&C insurers, reinsurers, and other insurance clients.
  • Apply hands-on expertise in capital modeling platforms (ReMetrica experience preferred but not required) to deliver client solutions from day one.
  • Lead risk, volatility, and asset parameterization, including calibration, dependency structures, scenario design, validation, and documentation.
  • Develop multi-year financial and cash flow projections integrating underwriting, reserving, reinsurance, investments, taxation, liquidity, and management actions.
  • Perform economic capital, rating agency, stress testing, capital allocation, and capital adequacy analyses.
  • Support enterprise risk management initiatives, including risk appetite frameworks, tolerances, limits, targets, and management reporting.
  • Translate complex modeling results into actionable recommendations on capital strategy, reinsurance, growth, business mix, liquidity, and risk management.
  • Maintain strong model governance through rigorous controls, documentation, peer review, and quality assurance.
Manage Client Engagements
  • Lead small to mid-sized consulting engagements, managing scope, timelines, budgets, staffing, quality, and client communication.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to actuarial, risk, finance, underwriting, treasury, investment, and executive stakeholders.
  • Contribute as a workstream lead on large, multidisciplinary projects across actuarial, strategy, reinsurance, finance, and analytics teams.
  • Structure complex business problems, develop analytical approaches, and deliver defensible, decision-ready solutions.
  • Communicate technical findings clearly, highlighting implications, trade-offs, limitations, and recommendations.
Support Strategic & Transactional Advisory Work
  • Contribute to complex assignments including mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, sidecars, loss portfolio transfers, reinsurance strategies, and legal entity restructuring.
  • Assess the impact of transaction structures, financing, investments, reinsurance, and management actions on risk, earnings volatility, liquidity, and capital.
  • Partner with senior colleagues to integrate actuarial, financial, strategic, and transaction advisory solutions.
Contribute to Business Growth
  • Help clients define problems, clarify objectives, and develop solutions that address strategic business needs.
  • Support proposals, RFP responses, client presentations, thought leadership, benchmarking studies, and industry events.
  • Collaborate across Aon to develop integrated solutions spanning capital modeling, enterprise risk management, reserving, pricing, reinsurance, and transaction advisory.
  • Identify growth opportunities within client relationships and contribute to the continued expansion of the practice.
Qualifications Required
  • Approximately 5-9 years of P&C actuarial, risk, capital modeling, or insurance consulting experience.
  • ACAS, FCAS, equivalent credential, or meaningful progress toward designation.
  • Proven experience managing client relationships, consulting engagements, and project delivery.
  • Strong hands-on experience in risk and capital modeling, including stochastic modeling, parameterization, cash flow projections, economic capital, rating agency analysis, and enterprise risk management.
  • Ability to translate quantitative analysis into recommendations for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong model governance, documentation, and quality-control practices.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with R, Python, SQL, or similar analytical tools is a plus.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting M&A, reinsurance structures, capital raises, sidecars, loss portfolio transfers, or other strategic transactions.
  • Experience with ReMetrica.ERM frameworks, ORSA, regulatory capital assessments, or rating agency capital models.
  • Broad understanding of P&C insurance and reinsurance, including reserving, pricing, catastrophe, investment, credit, and liquidity risk.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000-$185,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
