IMEG is hiring a Finance & Accounting Systems Analyst in Rock Island, IL. This role evaluates and optimizes financial software systems, analyzes system data to support effective and efficient operations, and assists with troubleshooting technical issues.

You will audit finance and accounting processes, collaborate with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, recommend researched solutions, and support user training on system functionality and updates. This role also supports cross-functional system performance reviews, sync issue resolution, and ongoing system support for finance team members.

What You'll Do

  • Audit processes in VP, EleVia, Power BI, Avalara, FinQuery, and other accounting related software.
  • Meet with stakeholders to discuss findings and researched solutions when improvements are identified.
  • Review workflows and stored procedures, provide detailed findings, and discuss improvements, sunsetting, or replacement options with stakeholders.
  • Assist with reviewing RDL files to ensure they are accurate and relevant.
  • Audit finance and accounting processes, ask questions, research options, and present solutions.
  • Assist with reviewing platform performance reporting to identify process and software performance issues.
  • Assist in investigating solutions for process inquiries and stakeholder suggestions, then review findings with the Finance & Accounting Systems Manager for feasibility and priority scheduling.
  • Review sync failure logs between finance and accounting and other CSG platforms, and communicate with appropriate users through resolution.
  • Periodically review Bot performance and meet with stakeholders to discuss findings and potential improvements.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, communication on user support tickets, ongoing system support, and training finance team members on system use and troubleshooting.
  • May function as Project Manager on initiatives.

What You'll Bring

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required

OR

  • Associates degree, or certificate preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field is required

OR

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems is required

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Critical thinking and strong research skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with SQL and Java, or ability to learn quickly
  • Advanced in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 15% with occasional overnight stays

Preferred

  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and project management tools preferred

State of Illinois Salary Range: $54,000 - $85,000 per year

The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location.

Individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors, including the candidate's experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications.

Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
