Schedule:This will be a day shift. Hours generally are 6am-2:30pm, 7am-3:30pm alternating days. Full-time: 4 days one week and 6 days the other week (weekend work).

Overview: The Production Technician position offers an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent university graduates and experienced individuals interested in production and manufacturing operations for vaccine production. This role involves supporting the manufacturing process through hands-on activities, including sterile supply assemblies and media formulations, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).


  • Pay: $21/hour


Key job priorities:

  • The position will be responsible for performing media formulations, sterile component preparation, process equipment operations, visual product inspections, and aseptic harvest/filling/sealing operations.
  • Competent execution of GMP documentation related to Production operations.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to government regulations through a demonstrated understanding of SOP's and a general knowledge of company policies/guidelines, safety/environmental regulations, and GMP's.
  • Enter SAP transactions for process instruction sheets related to Production operations.




Qualifications:

Minimum education and experience is a high school diploma with one to two (2) years relevant experience. Associates or Bachelor's degrees preferred. 2. Understanding of aseptic technique. 3. Good mechanical aptitude. 4. Ability to effectively handle normal workplace stress and/or pressures.

Two second-shift workers.

  • Responsibilities:

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES (CONTINUE TO BACK OR SECOND SHEET IF NEEDED) -The team has a bead-washing process that must be completed 7days/week, and this work will need to be performed during the afternoon/evening hours. Please note that the process requires:


  • One worker to perform the task
  • A second worker to verify the task


1. Schedule and ensure that all components and media used in Manufacturing and Quality Control are prepared with enough lead-time in support of the production schedule. 2. Load, operate and unload the autoclaves and depyrogenation oven. 3. Perform mathematical calculations required for Process variables. 4. Operate the pass through glassware washer. 5. Operate the Metromatic vial washer. 6. Operate the bead washer. 7. Utilize aseptic technique to perform the various tasks involved in the harvesting and filling of BCG. 8. Perform set-up and operation of the filling and crimp sealing machines. 9. Serve as a back-up operator for labeling, packaging and pack out of finished product. 10. Observe all safety rules and procedures in the performance of duties. 11. Follow directives from supervisors/managers in an appropriate manner. 12. Adhere to Company policies regarding attendance. 13. Perform other tasks requested by management.
