Description

Weichert Financial Services is hiring a Closing Coordinator in Morris Plains, NJ. This is a Hybrid position. The Closing Coordinator is responsible for obtaining preliminary title reports and additional information for the closing. The position reviews information, requests endorsements, and inputs and updates Encompass with fees. The Closing Coordinator triggers alerts in Encompass for change of circumstances within loan files.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Responsible for following up with settlement agents and attorneys for title policies and any title-related documentation.
  • Prioritizes tasks based on closing dates, including rush closings.
  • Communicates changes to closing dates to Sales and Operations staff.
  • Enters actual title fees and updated title fees.
  • Requests Funding Shield certificates. Addresses issues as presented.
  • Checks Funding Shield's website for certificate. Uploads certificate into Encompass.
  • Triggers change of circumstance alerts for fee changes. Removes alert triggers when appropriate.
  • Checks emails for requested documents for loans closing within the next 3-7 days. Sends follow up emails as needed.
  • Prepares documents and hands them over to attorneys to be reviewed for inaccuracies; coordinates necessary changes if necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and License Requirements



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred


Experience



  • One (1) year of related experience preferred
  • Mortgage banking familiarity required


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions
  • Knowledge and ability to use typical office equipment (PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)


The estimated annual rate for this position is $50,000 to $60,000. The rate of pay is dependent upon several factors including the candidate's relevant skills, education, work experience, job location/geographic region, and/or certifications.
