Job Summary The Pulmonary Hypertension Team Medical Assistant is responsible for coordinating administrative and clinical support services for patients with pulmonary hypertension. This role manages medication prior authorizations, referral processing and follow-up for both in-network and out-of-network services, and insurance authorizations for specialized diagnostic testing and procedures, including Right Heart Catheterizations (RHC), Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET), and Level I, II, and III services. The Medical Assistant serves as a liaison among patients, providers, specialty pharmacies, and insurance carriers to facilitate timely access to care, ensure compliance with payer requirements, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. Additionally, the role maintains accurate documentation, coordinates patient testing and appointments, and assists the multidisciplinary Pulmonary Hypertension team in managing complex patient care needs.Qualifications This position is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
