| Primary Purpose of Position |
This entry-level position provides foundational technical support for the operation and maintenance of the campus Building Automation System (
BAS), with a primary focus on Variable Air Volume (
VAV) & Fan Coil Unit (
FCU) terminal units and associated
HVAC control devices. |
| Summary of Position Responsibilities |
- Perform work in a variety of environmental conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, mechanical rooms, and around large commercial HVAC equipment.
- Safely access and work above ceilings using ladders while performing preventive maintenance, service, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate VAV boxes, damper actuators, valve actuators, and airflow measurement stations.
- Apply a working knowledge of HVAC control sequences of operation, mechanical and electrical principles, and air and hydronic water systems.
- Diagnose and resolve low-voltage electrical and controls issues using meters and other testing equipment.
- Interpret system operation and equipment performance to identify faults and implement corrective actions.
- Use Google Business and/or Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and a work order management system to document service activities, complete work orders, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Three Years of experience in the Commercial/Industrial
HVAC industry. |
| Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience |
- Two-year Associate's degree .
- Computer skills; experience with VAV systems.

OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification- Tridium Niagara Fundamentals Training
- Manufacturer BAS training (Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, etc.)
