As the Process Controls Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, improving, and supporting the plant's process control, automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. You will support production, maintenance, and engineering teams by ensuring control systems, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs, networking, and related electrical systems perform while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot process control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial networks.
- Support Allen Bradley PLC platforms, SCADA systems, HMI applications, and communication networks.
- Resolve process control issues that impact production, quality, safety, or reliability.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve control strategies and plant automation.
- Specify, troubleshoot process instrumentation including: Flow meters, Pressure transmitters, Temperature instruments, Level instruments, Control valves, Analyzers
- Assist and troubleshoot issues with maintenance and operations technicians for efficient operation of the facility.
- Support electrical systems troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure instrumentation and electrical equipment operate within design parameters.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in process controls, instrumentation, automation, and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial networks, and process instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, instrumentation, electrical systems, VFDs, and control circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop drawings, and technical documentation.
