We are seeking an Operational Support Engineer Ito join our manufacturing team. A successful candidate will be primarily responsible for conductingprocess auditsacross manufacturing operations to ensure personnel adherence to established standards and procedures. This individual will play a critical role in identifying process gaps, performing root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable corrective actions that drive operational excellence.

The shift for this position is Sunday night to Thursday night, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am.

Key Responsibilities

Process Auditing/Root Cause Analysis (Primary Focus)

  • Conduct regular, structuredprocess auditson the manufacturing floor to verify that personnel are following documented standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Observe and evaluate manufacturing processes against defined standards, flagging deviations and non-conformances in a timely manner

Gap Identification & Root Cause Analysis

  • Identify process gaps and systemic deficiencies through audit findings and data analysis
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g.,5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa, 8D) to determine root causes of non-conformances. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams to validate findings and develop corrective action plans
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented actions through follow-up audits and performance metrics

Continuous Improvement

  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives on the plant floor
  • Contribute to the development and revision of SOPs, work instructions, and training materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineeringpreferred
  • Entry-level;0-2 yearsof relevant experience; Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Stronganalytical and problem-solvingskills with attention to detail. Willingness to learn and drive change by identifying issues on a production floor. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

The salary for this position is $70,000 to $80,000.
