Location: Clinton, TN

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead automotive quality operations with a strong focus on cosmetic quality, Class A/Class B surface inspection, continuous improvement, and OEM customer satisfaction. This leadership role requires a strong presence on the manufacturing floor, coaching teams, resolving quality issues, and driving sustainable process improvements across Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Metrology, Validation, and Quality Systems.
Key Job Duties


  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 38 quality professionals across multiple quality disciplines
  • Drive quality improvements through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and defect prevention initiatives
  • Oversee cosmetic quality standards, Class A/Class B surface inspections, and visual defect evaluation processes
  • Reduce scrap, customer complaints, internal failures, and cost of poor quality while improving first-pass yield
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and audit requirements
  • Lead supplier quality initiatives and support metrology and validation activities



Qualifications


  • 7+ years of automotive manufacturing quality experience
  • 2+ years of Quality Management experience
  • Experience with cosmetic quality, Class A/Class B surfaces, and visual inspection standards
  • Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, 8D, and 5-Why methodologies
  • Proven success leading quality teams and driving measurable manufacturing improvements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
