Job Summary

The Mechatronics Solution Consultant assesses customer processes and delivers deep technical, industry, and portfolio expertise in the Mechatronics space. This role leads and develops complex Mechatronic sales opportunities in Independent Cart, Complex Motion, Unified Robotics, and Emulation and Simulation technologies. They are responsible for driving and supporting new business growth, expanding share within key accounts, and advancing Werner's industrial commercial strategy through highvalue solution design and customer engagement with current, and emerging Mechatronics solutions.

Essential Functions



  • Mechatronic Solution Consultant helps meet sales performance goals, strengthen technical and commercial acumen, and deliver consistent customer experience.


  • Consult customers to understand and evaluate their existing processes and requirements to identify areas for improvement and innovation utilizing Mechatronic technology.
  • Lead the Mechatronic solution pursuits for Independent Cart, Complex Motion, Unified Robotics, and Emulate 3D within all Werner territories.
  • Collaborate with Sales & Customer Experience teams, Business Consultants, Marketing and Automation Specialists to ensure cohesive engagement strategies and Mechatronic solution delivery.
  • Provide comprehensive customer support throughout the customer buying journey by reviewing project specifications, preparing and presenting bills of materials, developing solution proof of concepts, and supporting customer throughout the process.
  • Participate in execution of disciplined sales process and utilization of the customer relationship manager (CRM) tool to log and manage customer targets, opportunities, tasks, and customer engagements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends/ segments and technological advancements to offer the best mechatronic solutions.
  • Maintain technical competency on the full breadth of solutions and services available from Werner and external partners while focused on mechatronics technology.
  • Analyze competitive solutions, understand competitor strategies, highlight differentiators to customers and internal partners.
  • Participate in account planning and sales strategy development for Mechatronics.
  • Participate in organizational commercial plan and marketing strategies for Mechatronics.
  • Highlight the Innovation Center's technology, solutions, and services to position the organization as an industry leader.
  • Participate in relevant trade shows and events.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachler's degree in Automation, Engineering, Mechatronics, Sales & Marketing or other related field; AND
  • 5 years of relevant experience is required.
  • 7-10 years of related experience required in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with customer engagement and providing tailored solutions.
  • Prior experience delivering presentations and demonstrations.
  • Ability to stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Prior experience with Mechatronic solutions
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel regularly through Werner territories. Some overnight travel is required.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Valid trade credentials are highly preferred.
  • Prior experience working with Rockwell Automation products and services is preferred.
  • Customer service or sales experience in a business-to-business setting is highly preferred.
