Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Raw Material Utilityto join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA at our High Street facility.

This role is responsible for transporting and handling raw materials, operating forklifts, maintaining accurate inventory, and supporting production and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and a strong team player. This position worksMonday to Thursday, 6:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Friday, 6:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities



  • Transport raw materials from receiving to the warehouse and ensure smooth movement across production areas.
  • Accurately register raw materials and perform data entry in our D365 software system.
  • Communicate production challenges and opportunities to your supervisor.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently (or become forklift certified).
  • Learn and cross-train in other responsibilities, such as finished goods tasks and warehouse operations.
  • Ensure inventory and materials are accurately handled and stored according to specifications.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team with colleagues from different departments.
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned to support daily production goals.


Requirements



  • Forklift certified (or ability to obtain certification).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn the D365 software system.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to share updates with the team and leadership.
  • Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to identify challenges and proactively communicate solutions.
  • Attention to detail for reading and processing label codes and material specifications.
  • Self-starter with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
