Location: 9330 East 41st Street, Tulsa, OK

Duration: 3 Months

Contract Dates: 4 months

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4:00 AM-12:30 PM


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This position involves traveling to nursing homes throughout the Tulsa area using a company-provided vehicle to perform blood draws on patients. After completing the mobile collections, the phlebotomist will return to the home location to process specimens.


Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to nursing homes throughout the Tulsa area using a company vehicle.
  • Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients at nursing home facilities.
  • Work with primarily geriatric patients, including patients with difficult or hard-to-find veins.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and specimen collection procedures.
  • Handle and process specimens accurately upon returning to the home location.
  • Maintain specimen integrity and follow established laboratory procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and compassionate patient care.
  • Follow all laboratory safety, infection-control, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain the company vehicle and follow applicable driving and safety policies.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Phlebotomy experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Strong venipuncture skills.
  • Ability to work independently while traveling between multiple nursing home locations.
  • Strong patient-care and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to perform specimen processing.
  • Ability to work with geriatric patients and hard-stick patients.
  • Valid Driver's License.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience drawing blood from geriatric patients.
  • Experience with hard-stick patients.
  • Strong specimen processing experience.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple collection locations during the workday.


Work Environment

  • Home base: 9330 East 41st Street, Tulsa, OK
  • Travel throughout the Tulsa area to nursing home facilities.
  • Company vehicle provided for work-related travel.
  • Patient-facing role with a focus on mobile blood collection.
  • Candidate will return to the home location for specimen processing.


Compliance Requirements

  • Flu vaccination is required.
  • Hepatitis B: Required/RTB as applicable.
  • Color vision screening is required.
  • Negative THC screen: Not required.
