About the Team

The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) is a collaborative team of engineers, technicians, and manufacturing specialists. We combine traditional and advanced technologies to develop extremely high-precision components that power Keysight's industry-leading test & measurement equipment.

About the Role

We're seeking a Senior R&D Process Engineer to lead the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of our chemical milling, forming/heat treat, and plating processes for high-precision components.

You'll apply your technical expertise to bridge the gap between R&D and production, driving robust, repeatable, and scalable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development, qualification, and optimization of chemical milling processes

Develop and refine forming processes

Establish, validate, and maintain heat treat processes and specifications to meet mechanical requirements

NPI Photomask Design review & development

Develop and qualify plating and surface finishing processes

Partner with design engineering early in the product lifecycle to ensure manufacturability of new components.

Investigate and resolve process excursions through root cause analysis and corrective action.

Author and maintain process specifications, work instructions, and control plans.

Evaluate, qualify, and support commissioning of new equipment, chemistries, and vendors.

Ensure chemical processes comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Analyze process and inspection data to drive continuous improvement and yield gains.


Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent

5+ years of experience in photo chemical milling, forming, heat treat, or plating process engineering.

Experience developing process specifications

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven process control.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in precision manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.

Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data-driven process control.

Knowledge of environmental regulations governing chemical processing

Hands-on experience qualifying chemistry, forming tools, or heat treat furnaces.

Santa Rosa, CA Pay Range: MIN $138,000.00 - MAX $231,000.00
