Are you a meticulous and proactive compliance professional ready to make a significant impact? We are seeking a dedicated individual to join a dynamic Legal and Compliance team, where you will be instrumental in navigating complex regulatory landscapes. In this role, you will not only ensure our operations meet all licensing requirements but also contribute directly to the strategic integrity and stability of our business. Your analytical prowess and organizational skills will be vital in safeguarding our adherence to critical regulations, directly influencing our ability to operate and innovate.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct in-depth research on licensing topics with various state agencies.
  • Analyze diverse licensing requirements to ensure full compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain, monitor, and update critical data within internal licensing management systems for individual license portfolios.
  • Generate and distribute weekly licensing reports for various internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication with regulatory bodies and internal departments regarding all licensing matters.
  • Perform comprehensive license verification checks with state agencies and escalate any discrepancies to management.
  • Reconcile expenses associated with license applications, renewals, and general maintenance.
  • Execute administrative tasks, including ordering necessary licensing documentation from state agencies.
  • Submit new, transition, amendment, and surrender filings through industry-standard licensing systems.
  • Provide expert guidance to licensees, ensuring all requirements are meticulously met for new licenses.
  • Review licensee rosters and proactively ensure adherence to upcoming renewal and education deadlines.
  • Coordinate and complete documentation signings with internal licensees during onboarding and renewal processes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to multitask effectively and work independently to deliver high-quality service and results in a fast-paced environment.


What You Bring



  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in licensing and/or compliance within a regulated industry, such as financial services or real estate.
  • A deep understanding of the regulatory framework and industry practices applicable to state-licensed entities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience handling confidential information with the utmost discretion, including legal, financial, and personal data.
  • Proven analytical ability coupled with strong initiative.
  • Superior organizational skills and an unwavering attention to detail.
  • Experience in robust document management and electronic record keeping.
  • A proven ability to effectively manage shifting priorities and adapt to changing demands in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency across standard office software suites.


Bonus Points



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience with various licensing management platforms relevant to regulated industries.
