Position Summary

As an IT Systems Site Administrator you will perform the full range of duties and assignments with autonomy and limited guidance. In this role you will deploy, configure, and maintain network, telephony, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office suite of applications, data communication technologies and maintain facility infrastructure.

You will design, install, configure, maintain and perform system integration testing of operating systems, related utilities, software and hardware. You will be responsible for troubleshooting technology issues as reported by users. In this role you will research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware products. You will support web access and electronic messaging services and maintain a secure systems environment. As an IT Systems Site Administrator you will provide new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth. You will provide first, second and third level support to the user community. Manufacturing experience a plus. You will serve as a project leader on various assignments and mentor and train entry level IT professionals within the department. This position may require bilingual skills for facilities located outside the United States.

What You'll do as an IT Site Administrator

50% End User Technical Support (Highly Skilled)

  • Provide higher level technical support (Desktop/Software Peripherals)
  • Provide security oversight to computer and physical facility security
  • Perform administration activities including routine maintenance and support for networking, telephony, and data communications infrastructure. Includes operating systems, applications and servers, e-mail systems, file and print systems, virus defense, web services, remote access, network security, voice and data communications, and voice messaging
  • Monitor performance, capacity, and operational statistics for networking, telephony, and data communications infrastructure
  • Provide Telecomm support
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Office suite
  • Maintain and troubleshoot VPN remote access
  • Provide primary and/or secondary support for site specific business applications, either purchased or developed using standard Microsoft Office products and management tools

30% Infrastructure Support

  • Address higher level support and troubleshooting for Telecomm and Network
  • Implement, maintain and troubleshoot Active Directory permissions, group policies
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server
  • Maintain infrastructure security including operating system security patches and virus defense
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, software applications and patches
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Domains and Domain controllers
  • Implement Microsoft group policies
  • Reconcile Microsoft and other software licenses
  • Setup and deploy applications using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Setup and manage backup and recovery software solutions
  • Installs, maintains, and supports physical and virtual servers.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems with infrastructure configurations and hardware.
  • Administrating and troubleshooting cloud based infrastructure Ie. Azure / Aws

20% Leadership & Project Management

  • Provide 7 x 24 x 365 support
  • Conduct training for end-users
  • Increased interactions with Corporate teams; serve on part of the planning meetings
  • Test backup options
  • Perform hardware and software purchasing by interfacing with vendors and accounting
  • Research, evaluate and recommend software and hardware products
  • Present and implement solutions
  • Manage quotes and deliver results (i.e. Hardware and Software)
  • Support and run projects while maintaining a budget
  • Serve as a mentor, trainer, and coach to staff members on analysis and resolution of problems
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelors degree in related field, minimum of 8 years experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with IT Service Desk, Network, Desktop, and servers
  • Minimum of 3 years experience performing system administrative experience position or equivalent on the job training is required
  • Advanced experience troubleshooting skills (Desktop/Server). Higher level tiered support
  • Experience with standard Microsoft protocols (i.e. DNS and DHCP)
  • Experience with server virtualization environments desired
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures using Microsoft operating systems, application suites and tools
  • Familiar with basic network concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience higher level processing and applications (servers)
  • Project management experience\

Preferred:

  • Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge preferred
  • Manufacturing support experience preferred

Other:

  • Ability to resolve business issues with IT solutions
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot with strong analytical and logic-based skills
  • Ability to train and mentor IT professionals and end-users
  • Strong Customer service etiquette with solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and critical thinking skills and ability to work with a large variety of Customers and high-stress situations
  • Ability to take initiative and adapt readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling
  • Exert Influence in site leadership regarding decision making, budgeting, and strategic planning
  • Innovative leader with the ability to solve complex IT challenges

  • Exert influence in working with other managers, system sponsors, software developers, external consulting resources, network administrators, project managers, systems administrators and engineers, database administrators, end users, directors, and vice presidents

Pay range for this opportunity is$74,162.50-$95,975.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
