Heavy Equipment Operator - Waste Connections

Location: West Nyack, NY

Pay Starting: $22.50-$26.00/hr (based on experience)

Schedule/Hours: 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday

We're currently seeking a safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. In this role, you will operate heavy machinery and contribute to a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, scrapers, and compactors.

* Performing routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.

* Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

* Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

What we need from you:

* 2+ years' experience running heavy equipment

* Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance

* Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
