SUMMARY:

The HRBP serves as a trusted HR partner to assigned business units and leadership teams in the areas of workforce planning, talent acquisition, retention, employee relations, and performance management. Working collaboratively with HR leadership, the HRBP supports the implementation of HR initiatives and provides guidance to managers and colleagues while continuing to develop business partnership and organizational effectiveness capabilities.

The HRBP collaborates across the HR team and with cross-functional partners to develop and implement HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support the Bank's strategic objectives and reflect the organization's core values of integrity, respect, collaboration, inclusivity, and care.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to:



  1. Partner with leadership and hiring managers to assess workforce needs and support talent acquisition and retention strategies.
  2. Collaborate with the Talent Management team, Marketing, and hiring managers to enhance candidate engagement and strengthen the organization's employment brand and employee value proposition.
  3. Manage assigned requisitions and the full-cycle recruitment process from sourcing through onboarding activities.
  4. Develop and maintain job descriptions to ensure consistency across departments and alignment with organizational needs.
  5. Provide guidance and support to managers regarding performance management, employee relations, and colleague development.
  6. Support leaders and colleagues across Mutual Bancorp and its family of banks while promoting consistency in HR practices and colleague experience across the organization.
  7. Support the implementation of organizational and departmental change initiatives while helping leaders and colleagues navigate change effectively.
  8. Provide guidance to managers regarding documentation, corrective action, performance concerns, accommodation, and employment separations with guidance from HR leadership on separations and more complex employee relations matters.
  9. Respond to and provide guidance regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace practices.
  10. Support managers in effectively utilizing HR systems and technologies, including HRIS and applicant tracking systems, to improve operational effectiveness and workforce management.
  11. Partner with leadership to identify opportunities that strengthen colleague engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
  12. Support enterprise-wide HR initiatives that strengthen collaboration across the family of banks and enhance the experience of colleagues, clients, and the communities we serve.
  13. Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage for HRBPs and HR team members as needed.
  14. Participate in ongoing HR projects and strategic initiatives.
  15. Deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS: (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)



  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required.

  • Ability to support HR initiatives that align with business objectives and workforce needs.

  • Ability to analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support data-informed decision-making.
  • Ability to support initiatives that improve team effectiveness, colleague engagement, and organizational performance.
  • Understanding of federal and state employment law, including FMLA, PFML, ADA.
