Thomas L. Keon Testing Center:

TheTesting Center Lab Proctorupholds the integrity of the Thomas L. Keon Testing Center by striving to prevent instances of academic misconduct where and when possible. We properly identify and report these instances as they occur while actively promoting a scholastic environment that is both comfortable for students and in line with established lab policy.

The Opportunity:

Join the Barry S. Miller College of Business' Thomas L. Keon Testing Center and play an important role in supporting student success in a professional, technology-driven academic environment.

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Part-Time Testing Center Lab Proctor to help ensure a secure, welcoming, and efficient testing experience for our students. In this role, you will assist students throughout the testing process, uphold academic integrity, monitor examinations, and ensure compliance with Testing Center policies and procedures.

Classification Title: Office Support Assistant

Responsibilities:


  • Actively monitor testing environments, including extended periods of standing and walking, to ensure a secure, fair, and distraction-free experience while upholding academic integrity.

  • Provide first-level technical support by troubleshooting computer, software, and testing platform issues to minimize disruptions.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting students, answering questions, and guiding them through the testing process.

  • Support the daily operations of the Testing Center by completing additional duties and contributing to a positive, efficient team environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience working in a testing center, academic support environment, or other professional setting where accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with students, faculty, and staff.

  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable using computers and technology, with the ability to quickly learn new software and troubleshoot basic technical issues.

  • Highly organized, dependable, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to supporting student success.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $15.00 to $18.00. The final rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
