About The Position The Safety Supervisor supervises, monitors, coaches and advises operating personnel and other management personnel regarding company safety policies, procedures, and programs to safeguard employees and property of the Company. Key responsibilities include:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Safety or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other safety related certification preferred. Five or more years of safety related experience required. Sr. Safety Supervisor: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with five or more years of experience or master's degree in Safety or related field with three or more years of experience required. Five or more years of experience in safety or a related field required along with a thorough knowledge of regulatory safety standards is required. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred. Advance degree in Safety is preferred. The Senior Safety Supervisor works a standard work week in an office and field environment. This position requires occasional overtime (evenings, weekends) that may involve overnight travel. This position will also be expected to provide support during outages, storms, or other emergencies as required which may require working extended hours, weekends and holidays. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Ability to prioritize and self direct work activities with little direct supervision and participate in a geographically dispersed team environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Excellent leadership, communication, and human relations skills. Ability to support major storm response activities involving long hours over multiple days, plus travel out of supported territory. Additional InformationAmeren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates. Compensation Range: $84,400.00 - $137,200.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
