TheUS Healthcare & Life SciencesChief of Staff (CoS) is a critical role that works closely with theCorporate Vice Presidentand Leadership Team (LT).The role leads the Operating Unit (OU) Executive Office, driving leadership team operations, strategic initiatives, communications, organizational health, and execution of key business priorities.TheCoSisresponsible for ensuring the effectiveness of the LT operating rhythm, including setting up and driving key processes to get work done.TheCoSwill provide insight and advice to the LT around operational excellence, resource and fiscal planning, organization health & development, andcontribute to strategic planning, decision-making, and execution across the organization. TheCoSwill also be involved in working with theCorporateVice President and the LT toidentifyand develop strategies and content to be used for team sharing, and executive reviews. Responsibilities Leadership Effectiveness Team Development & Culture BusinessManagement& Operational Excellence Partner with the Corporate Vice Presidentand leadership team to drive business planning, organizational priorities, and execution across the Healthcare & Life Sciences organization.Help define strategic objectives,key rhythms of business, success measures, and leadership governance to ensure alignment against organizational goals.Lead the development and execution of operating mechanisms, business reviews, and planning processes, bringing together leaders across the organization to create a shared perspective on priorities, performance, and opportunities. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to synthesize insights, develop leadership content, and drive clarity, accountability, and execution against the organization's strategic priorities. Build trusted partnerships across key stakeholders, including Finance, HR, CELA, Sales Excellence, Marketing, Sales Enablement & Operations, and other Microsoft teams to drive alignment and execution against business priorities. Collaborate effectively with senior leaders across Microsoft to remove barriers, accelerate decision-making, and connect organizational efforts to broader companyobjectives. Serve as a strategic advisor to the Corporate Vice President and leadership team,leveragingbusiness insight, organizational context, and an understanding of the Healthcare & Life Sciences industry to drive outcomes, influence decisions, and advance customer impact. Cross-Functional Leadership & Strategic Initiatives Lead and coordinate high-impact, cross-organizational initiatives that advance strategic priorities and improve business performance. Partner with leaders across the organization to defineobjectives,establishexecution plans, track progress, and drive accountability. Anticipate risks,identifyopportunities, and bring structure to complex challenges, ensuring key initiatives deliver measurable business value and organizational impact. Organizational Planning & Transformation Partner with the leadership team, HR, and key stakeholders to shape and execute organizational planning, workforce strategy, and change initiatives.Identifyopportunities to strengthen organizational effectiveness, improve collaboration, and accelerate business outcomes. Support organizational design discussions and implementation plans while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when navigating sensitive business and people-related matters. Business Operations & Rhythm of Business Drive the operational excellence of the Healthcare & Life Sciences organization through effective planning, governance, and execution of the rhythm of business. Partner with Business Managers, Finance, HR, Staffing, and leadership teams to oversee business reviews, fiscal planning, headcount strategy, workforce planning, and key operating mechanisms. Ensure alignment across priorities, resources, and execution plans while continuously improving processes that enable the organization to scale,operateefficiently, and deliver against its goals. Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
