What does a Fleet Technician Lead do at Swire Coca-Cola?
The Fleet Technician Lead is responsible for the overview of the daily operations of the Fleet Maintenance department within the designated area along with ensuring that all Fleet equipment is maintained in a safe and serviceable manner.



Job Details:
Schedule: 9:00am - 5:30pm Mon - Fri Shift is subject to change based on business needs.


Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour DOE
Job Level: 3


Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that preventative maintenance programs are being followed.
  • Responsible for quality assurance/quality control of all maintenance activities within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Ensure accuracy of documentation generated by employees at Swire CC/vendor shops for all maintenance activities.
  • Provide training for team members.
  • Ensure proper disposal and documentation of waste stream items.
  • Assist team members in making decisions concerning efficiency of shop operations.
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are performed in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assist Fleet Manager to ensure compliance according to Company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure that parts inventories are maintained at correct efficiency levels. *
  • Coordinate members of all functional areas to ensure that equipment needs are met.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are prepared for transfer or disposal as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements:




  • High School Diploma (or GED) preferred
  • ASE Certified Diesel Mechanic preferred
  • 2-4 years Diagnostic, maintenance and repair of Class 7 & 8 diesel trucks and trailers. required and
  • 2-4 years Diagnostic, maintenance and repair of Material Handling Equipment and Light Duty trucks/ vans. preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to provide direction to team members in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule if needed
  • Own set of tools and understanding the best practice for how to use required tools
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and programs. (Cummins Insite, DTNA, WABCO, Bendix, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Document Management Systems.
