After drying, the lumber is planed and smoothed to uniform dimensions and graded for quality based on strength, appearance, and defects. Finally, the lumber is packaged and shipped for such uses as fence posts, deck support posts, shed and building framing, pergolas and outdoor structures, mailbox posts and signposts, landscaping projects, DIY furniture and crafts and many more things.
