As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper communication channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and help to verify that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas, while documenting observations, incidents, and/or security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Support site operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general questions, and communicating professionally with site contacts, employees, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
