The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part-time faculty position as the instructor for Principles of Spatial Design II, the third course in the design of the built environment in the undergraduate Geodesign degree curriculum. Candidates will have professional and/or academic experience teaching an undergraduate-level urban design or landscape architecture territorial scale course focused on urban scale analysis, design, and systems thinking to create healthy livable communities. Candidates must demonstrate a teaching and/or a professional portfolio that explores transdisciplinary approaches to design, including transit infrastructure, the public realm including transit and pedestrian priority streets, park systems, and nature based green infrastructure. Students in this course integrate their previous coursework in planning, design representation, and geospatial science as a foundation for developing urban scale healthy livable communities. Compensation and rank to be commensurate with experience. The core salary range for this position is $50.75 - $69.79 per hour. This is a part time, 35% position.
