Position Description:
Support xPL project team adoption of continuous improvement using lean continuous improvement concepts, methodology, principles, policies, and Last Planner System. Supplement team efforts to strengthening adoption of continuous improvement culture within assigned projects.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide information and education to support xPL project teams to engage in continuous improvement practices and activities using lean concepts, methodology, and principles.

  • Conduct on-going manufacturing facility audits, to review facility project status, identify challenges and opportunities, and work with xPL operations and leadership teams to establish measurable goals for improvement.

  • Provide guidance to facilitate project teams to adopt learning resources to develop and follow a structured plan to achieve manufacturing goals.
    /li>
  • Develop educational workshops to support development and implementation of assigned facility improvements and innovation.
    /li>
  • Be accessible and develop consistent presence on manufacturing floor to work with each team to establish and set up lean practices (e.g., Visual Management, 5S, others).
    /li>
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program with minimum of 3 years of related continuous improvement or lean experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule
  • Able to anticipate and communicate issues, risks and information to non-technical audiences
  • Experience with lean continuous improvement concepts, principles, and methodologies
  • Able to guide, educate, and support adoption on continuous improvement practices
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract understanding, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, and Trade practices
  • Knowledgeable of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) practices
  • Proficient project management skills, able to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate leadership management skills and ability to develop relationships with stakeholders and indirect reports across organizational levels
  • Professional presentation delivery with clear verbal and written communication skills, able to present information clearly for easy understanding and for non-technical audiences
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and collaboration tools
  • Travel required

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works manufacturing work sites where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
