Labyrinth Project Assistant (Hourly)

The University of Iowa College of Nursing invites applications for a part-time, hourly summer position to support the cleaning, preparation, and artistic completion of a Labyrinth installation. This role will work closely with a professional designer to execute an approved and funded project.

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

• Cleaning and preparing the outdoor patio area
• Assisting with the creation and painting of the Labyrinth design
• Collaborating with the project designer to ensure accurate execution of the approved design
• Working independently to complete assigned tasks efficiently and on schedule

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Ability to follow artistic direction and assist in painting a Labyrinth design

• Degree in Art or at least two years of experience in an artistic or painting-related field
• Availability to work up to 40 hours per week prior to August 1
• Demonstrated experience in cleaning and preparing outdoor surfaces for painting

• Hourly wage: $15.00-$20.00, based on experience
• Hours will vary by week
• All work must be completed by Saturday, August 1
