Description

The Analyst / Developer's role is to design, modify, develop, test, and implement software programming applications following established development processes. This position will also require a lot of coordination with outside sources that may be working on development related projects. This individual will apply communications skills, problem solving skills and knowledge of best practices to work with end users on issues related to design, development and deployment of software systems. This position reports to the Software Development Manager.

Essential Responsibilities & Expectations



  • Work with end-users throughout the organization to define the needs for software applications, associated maintenance, and reporting
  • Build web applications using ASP.net webforms, C#, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • Build C# console applications for batch and interface applications
  • Build data tables and stored procedures using SQL server
  • Conducts system and software testing and develops fixes as needed.
  • Work with 3rd party development companies on coordination and joint development tasks
  • Build Reports using SSRS and other tools
  • Assist users with escalated technical issues
  • Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 technical issue resolution and environment administration
  • Special projects as required


Qualifications

Education



  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, information Technology, Business Information Systems, or comparable experience required.


Experience



  • 5+ years of application development or analyst experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with non-technical end users to understand their needs.
  • Ability to react quickly to a fast paced, rapidly changing environment


Skills and Competencies



  • Proficiency with Microsoft .Net development tools including ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server as well as an understanding of JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, and XML are all helpful.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid customer service and delivery skills
  • Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities
  • Must be able to work well under tight project deadlines


Job Training



  • Experience with SharePoint helpful
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC and HTML5 a plus
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
