• 
  Inventory & Logistics: Rotate stock using FIFO principles; maintain impeccable standards for cleanliness and organization in stock rooms, coolers, and freezers.
• 
  Procurement: Take the lead on ordering all chemical, paper, and beverage products.
• 
  Data Management: Effectively utilize Netmenu for inventory tracking, invoice receiving, and issuing paperwork.
• 
  Quality Control: Track product shortages, damages, and mispicks. Communicate these issues to the Purchasing Specialist to secure proper credits.
• 
  Administration: Maintain the "Food Service Rewards" program by entering data for credit issuance.
• 
  Leadership: Train and mentor temporary and student stock room staff to ensure operational excellence.
• 
  Collaboration: Partner closely with Chefs and the Purchasing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely product pulls.

  Strength: Must be able to routinely lift 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• 
  Agility: Position requires frequent bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
• 
  Conditioning: Ability to work in extreme conditions, including the high heat of a commercial kitchen and the cold of walk-in freezers/coolers.

• Due to operational needs of the NC State Dining department, an employee may be assigned to work in any NC State Dining department including, but not limited to special events.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure NC State Dining business needs are met.

High school diploma or equivalency.

• Experience using food service ordering systems such as Netmenu.
• Accurate data entry skills and the ability to learn department-specific software and email systems.
• A strong commitment to meeting deadlines and working a flexible schedule when business needs dictate.
• Capacity to facilitate workflow, shift priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
